They work together to ensure EV provides services that empower people and build stronger communities through equitable systems.
The EV Board guide EV’s strategy and direction with care and dedication. Each board member brings a unique set of skills from diverse areas of the community sector and beyond, applying their capabilities to ensure the ongoing strength of the organisation, its programs and services.
EV Strengthening Communities seeks a community in which everyone can participate and belong and as such this vision drives our services. We have traditionally operated in the eastern suburbs of Melbourne however in 2023 have become a national body to strengthen many communities across the nation.
We strengthen communities by supporting people who seek to participate and be engaged in their community. We do his through both transport and volunteering services.
We strengthen organisations that deliver services to communities through our support to organisations with volunteer as well as paid workforces, through supporting Boards with their governance and offering capacity building services for community groups.
We strengthen communities by supporting place-based partnerships with other organisations that promote positive change and our advocacy for policy which supports socially just and equitable policy.
In the spirit of reconciliation, EV acknowledges the Wurundjeri people as the traditional owners of the land and pays respect to its elders past and present.
We are an inclusive organisation supporting Culturally and Linguistically diverse people, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and Lesbian, Gay, Bi, Transgender, Queer, Intersex and Asexual Communities.
